Hi! I'm a medior frontend with a bachelor's degree in Applied Informatics from KDG. I'm mainly focused on React, but have also worked with PHP (Symfony), Java and NodeJS before.

At 26, I've already gained valuable work and academic experience in test-driven, agile website development. I have improved my skills at Calqi, Two Point O, Oddball / Purple Panda and DXC FDS.

I have around 3.5 years of working experience.

Work experience

December 2024 - February 2025

Calqi is a startup aimed at architects. As the sole full-time developer,I was responsible for modernizing the application.

This role challenged me to expand my technical skills, particularly in handling a complex legacy codebase with a lot of responsability.

At Calqi, I contributed to modernizing the application, improving its maintainability and performance. While the company required deeper PHP expertise, they valued my contributions and the improvements I implemented. This experience strengthened my ability to quickly adapt, work independently, and take ownership of technical challenges.

I started as part of a four-member team and eventually took on the responsibility of leading the team independently. Specializing in React development, I also gained experience deploying websites on Google Cloud.

I co-developed 3 websites from scratch, seeing them through to completion, ensuring high performance and user-friendly experiences.

Key Projects

TheValueChain

We developed the website for Gumption’s largest company, creating reusable components, fixing bugs, and handling change requests post-launch.

Brightest

We also built the website for Gumption’s second-largest company, utilizing a similar tech stack and development process as TheValueChain.

Linc.legal

Lastly we also designed and developed a website for this Antwerp-based law firm, maintaining consistency in technology and best practices across projects.

My first paid working experience was as a consultant for the Flemish Government. I spent the first year modernizing the Gebruikersbeheer which is the internal authorization panel by converting legacy code into microservices, improving maintainability and scalability.

After that, I co-developed the Inzageloket for Department Omgeving, a public-facing website which enables civilians to view nearby construction projects on a map.

I started on the backend in a five-person team before transitioning to frontend development, working closely with a senior developer to enhance UI functionality.

I had the opportunity to volunteer at React Brussels, which allowed me to connect with many skilled professionals and attend insightful talks and workshops.

During the event, I had my first experience with Astro and learned how to use server components for forms, a feature introduced in React 19.
I also attended sessions on accessibility, AI, and view transitions, gaining valuable insights into modern web development practices.
